Step 1. You can picture in picture mode using the Safari browser on your iPhone. Open the Safari from the main menu.

Step 3. Find your favorite video from YouTube. At the right top corner of the video, you have to tap on the PIP Mode icon.

Hide PIP Mode and Play the Video in Background

Once you have successfully done it. If it disturbs while using other apps on your iPhone then you can easily hide the PIP and listen to the audio on the background. The video will be disappeared and you will have the tab to pull it when you want the video again.

Swipe to the left to hide the PIP mode. If it is on the right side then swipe to the right. It depends on your screen.
